Interpretation of metamorphic stones

The study of metamorphic rocks requires knowing the basic concepts that were briefly mentioned in the first part. Knowing these concepts, metamorphic rocks can be studied from different physical, chemical aspects and their integration. Investigation of the physical properties of the stone by recognizing the main fabric of the stone, indicating the effect of the forces on the stone. It begins and then we can determine the primacy and end of the emergence of minerals relative to the tectonic phases of rock. The study of rock chemistry is initiated by its mineralogy and then the equilibrium minerals (paragenesis) are identified.

At this stage, metamorphic rocks can be examined from different directions. In order to learn more, the main concepts and different aspects of the study of metamorphic rocks are displayed in the form (c). According to the figure, naming metamorphic rock is possible after mineralogical study and detection of the main fabric of the stone and determination of mother stone will be possible according to the mineralogical study of the stone. Also, according to the paragenesis of minerals and the type of mother stone, the chemical composition of metamorphic rock can be investigated in different chemical diagrams. Determination of algebraic space, metamorphic reactions and stability curves is also possible due to the mineral paragenesis and its chemical composition (mother rock). Physically, the primacy and end of the emergence of minerals relative to tectonic phases can determine the number of metamorphic phases.

From the combination of data obtained from the determination of mineral paragenesis and the order of mineral emergence, we can follow the changes in heat and pressure imposed on the rock from the beginning of the metamorphic process to the state on which it is currently governed. The studies are expressed as determining physicochemical changes in different stages of rock formation.

In this section, we will discuss the principles of practical interpretations. To learn about the relevant theory, we can refer to the available resources (Darvishzadeh, 1992; Yardali, 1993; Deputy Vaziri, 1998).
