bookMatched stone and Four-MatchedbookMatched stone and Four-Matched
book Match stone and Four Mach and what are its uses?
In short, BookMatched and Four-Mached can be considered as a type of construction stone processing. In this type of processing, we see the creation of attractive and beautiful designs from the juxtaposition of several pieces of stone slabs. Due to the high beauty of this type of processing, these days we see the supply of most building stones in this form.
What is bookMatched and Four-Matched stone?
To understand the structure of these stones, we first go to examine their names. The names bookMatched and Four-Matched are derived from the shape created by these stones. In the bookMatched stone, two slab stones with completely similar designs are placed next to each other. These two stones are either horizontally or vertically glued together and installed. The connecting line of these two slabs plays the role of their symmetry line.
Think of the letter w to understand. This letter can be seen as an image created from two v’s. In bookmatched, we are dealing with a w-shape, which consists of two slabs with v-patterns.
A similar phenomenon can be seen in Four-Matched. with the difference that here we have two lines of symmetry Four-Matched, as the name suggests, is created by matching four slabs. If we put the stones of the previous example together as a form match, we will see a shape similar to XX. The new shape consists of four v’s, each horizontally and vertically symmetrical with its side stone.
The difference between BookMatched and Four-Matched is only in their design. The first consists of two pieces of slabs and the second consists of four pieces.
What stones are processed with bookMatched and Four-Matched designs?
We have explained the concept of bookMatched and Four Match in a very simple way in the previous section. This processing is seen in all building stones. It cannot be said that only certain types of stones are produced in this way. Any stone that is transported to the quarry in skubs with complete designs, does not have knots and defects and is of suitable quality, can be processed with these designs.
Of course, one of the necessary and important conditions is the presence of suitable designs for Four-Matched and bookMatched on the stone. Usually, stones that have uniform designs will not show themselves well in this type of processing. This issue often happens in granite stones with the same designs without streaks.
The following building stones can be processed by bookMatching and four-matching if they meet the above conditions:
-
Marble stones (Onyx)
-
Granite stones (if patterned)
-
Marble stones (if patterned)
-
Travertine stones
-
Chinese stones (crystal)
Application of bookMatched Match and Four-Matched
As you saw in the previous section, all kinds of building stones can be processed and installed in the building in this way. By looking at this list, you can easily understand the variety of uses of these stones.
Travertine, granite, marble, marble and crystal are actually almost all the stones that are extracted from Iran’s mines. These stones cover all construction applications, including interior and exterior, flooring and paving, etc.
Four-Matched and bookmatched stones are formed from slab pieces. So, it is usually possible to use these stones on walls and floors with a high area. For example, these stones cannot be used on the facade walls that are full of windows and are uneven.
In this way, the following can be considered among the most important uses of these stones:
-
Flooring of large hotel and restaurant lobbies
-
Flooring of very large passages
-
Facade of large and luxury buildings
-
Decorating the living room wall (the wall behind the TV)
-
Stone for the staircase wall of large and luxury buildings
